Census reports show that Myrtle's father was born in Canada, and her mother was born in Michigan.

The known children of Albert and Myrtle Barnes;
1. An infant buried in Sodville Cemetery, Kingsdown, Ford County, Kansas. It is unknown at this time whether this was a boy or girl. Dates of birth and death are also unknown.

3. Lorena G. Barnes, In her mother's obit in 1965 Lorena is listed as Lorena Hahn of Los Angeles, California. Note that a Lorena Grace Hahn (4-16-1914 - 10-24-2004) and Fern E. Bland (12-4-1916 - 8-17-2001) are buried in Boeuff Cemetery, in Gerald, Franklin Co., Missouri. These names appear to be just too much of a coincidence. Or so you would think!
4. Fern E. Barnes, listed as Fern E. Bland of Poplar Bluff, Missouri in her mother's obit in 1965.
5. Merlin D. Barnes, resided in Pueblo, Colorado.
6. William Barnes, born ca. 1924 in Kansas, resided in Pueblo, Colorado.
7. Myrtle Barnes, born 1929-30 in Kansas, Myrtle Glass of Canon City, Colorado.
8. Beatrice Barnes, born 1931-32 in Kansas, Beatrice Clark of Boulder, Colorado.
9. Irwin Barnes, born ca. 1937 in Kansas. Irwin resided in Boulder, Colorado.

Mrs. Myrtle Barnes, Former Resident, Dies in Omaha, Neb.
Mrs. Myrtle M. Barnes, a former resident of Canon City, died Friday in Omaha, Neb. She had been in failing health for several years. She was 74.
Services from the First Church of the Nazarene will be announced later. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery, arrangements being handled by Holt-Wilson Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Barnes was born on May 10, 1890 in Alberding, S. D. the daughter of Soloman Bingham and Caroline Hensel Bingham. She was married in 1910 in Wichita, Kan. to Albert Barnes who preceded her in death in 1955.
Mrs. Barnes came to Canon City in 1936 from Syracuse, Kan. and lived at 1410 Grand Avenue. She lived in Canon City until about 1963 when she moved to Mead, Colo. to be near a daughter. She moved to Omaha in 1964 to live with a brother there.
Survivors include the following children: Mrs. Lorena Hahn of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Fern E. Bland of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Merlin D. Barnes and William Barnes of Pueblo, Mrs. Myrtle Glass of Canon City, Mrs. Beatrice Clark of Boulder, and Irwin Barnes of Delta, and 17 grandchildren.
Additional survivors are the following brothers and sisters: William F. Bingham of Omaha, Irwin G. Bingham of Point Myrtle, Ore., Mrs. Beatrice Woodward and Sarah B. Bingham of Portland, Ore.
