William L. Harn, 81, of Bainbridge, Pa., formerly of Parkton, died Thursday, May 21, 2009.

Mr. Harn was born in Parkton, son of the late Ambrose and Helen Carmichael Harn.

After graduating from Sparks High School, Mr. Harn went into military service. In the U.S. Army, he served in Korea as a corporal from 1950 to 1952.

After his military service, Mr. Harn returned to Maryland, where he became a tool and die maker until retirement.

Mr. Harn was active in the Gunpowder Baptist Church, in Freeland, for most of his adult life. He served the church as deacon, Sunday school teacher and treasurer.

Mr. Harn is survived by his wife, Betty Moyer Harn, of Bainbridge; three daughters, Edna Danielsen, of Bainbridge, Helen Massaro, of Hilliard, Ohio, and Susan Bryan, of Richmond, Va. He is also survived by six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a brother, Wilbur Harn, of Ocala, Fla.; and his twin sister, Helen Ross, of Parkton.

He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Dorothy Sands Harn.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 27 at Mt. Calvary Church, 625 North Holly St., at 11 a.m. in? Elizabethtown, Pa. Friends may call on Tuesday, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Miller/Sekely Funeral Services, 130 N. Market St., in Elizabethtown.

Interment will take place at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Calvary Christian School, 629 N. Holly St., Elizabethtown, 17022.
