Major League Baseball Player. Born in Oakland, California, he was an outfielder and older brother of the New York Yankees' outfielder Robert Meusel. On October 1, 1914, he made his debut for the Washington Senators. For eleven seasons, he played with the Washington Senators (1914), Philadelphia Phillies (1918-20), New York Giants (1921-26) and Brooklyn Robins (1927). For six seasons he batted over .300+, four seasons with over a 100+ runs batted in, led the National League in runs batted in (1923) and also was a member of New York Giants World Series Championship teams (1921-22). He ended his career with a record of 1521 hits, 701 runs scored, 106 home runs, 819 runs batted in and a .310 batting average. He died at age 69 in Long Beach, California.
