Harrison B Lehman, 85, 215 South Elkhart St, Wakarusa, died Monday, April 15, at Elkhart general Hospital where he had been a patient three days. He had been in failing heath the past two months. Death was due to a heart condition.
Mr. Lehman was born in Goshen June 19, 1888, to Peter Y and Lydia (Good) Lehman and married Ruth Domer Aug 7, 1913.
He was in the meat processing business and later worked for the Elkhart Truth, retiring in 1971.
A member of the Wakarusa United Methodist Church, he was Sunday school superintendent for approximately 30 years.
Surviving with the widow are two sons, Lyell, Union, Mich, and T W (Bill), South Bend; three daughters, Miss Valeen, at home, and Mrs Glen (Alice) Holdeman and Mrs Alfred (Marie) Kelley, both of Wakarusa; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held today, Wednesday, April 17, at 1 pm at the Wakarusa United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Henderson, officiating. Burial was in Olive Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be given to the Wakarusa-Olive-Harrison Library.
