Ruby E. McCotter, 81, of Pearl died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2002, at Pittsfield Health Care Center. She was born Dec. 15, 1921, in Hilleview, the daughter of Cecil and Hazel Hobbs Talkington. She married James M. Booth. She later married Donald H. McCotter; he died in 1995. Mrs. McCotter was a homemaker. Survivors: two sons, James D. Booth of Kansas City, Mo., and Kenneth H. Booth of Baylis; two daughters, Patsy J. Hubbs of Springfield and Sandra K. Westfall of Baylis; 18 grandchildren, including Kenny Booth, who was raised in the home; and a sister, Doris Kappel of Brighton. Graveside services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Green Pond Cemetery in Pearl, the Rev. William Ramsey officiating. Hanks-Gubser Funeral Home in Pearl is in charge of arrangements.
