Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and friends playing cards, darts, fishing and having cook outs. He worked at Holthouse Brothers Farms for many years and in 1996 started working for Central Plastics in Greenwich as a maintenance worker until December 2010.
He is survived by his son, Robert W. Hale, Jr. of Plymouth; daughter, Rebecca J. Hale of Willard; 6 grandchildren; his mother, Mary Hale of Plymouth; siblings, Diana (Tom) Oney of Plymouth, Rodney (Sandy) Hale of Plymouth, Matthew Hale of Greenwich, Rita (Bernie) Gayheart of Plymouth, Melvin (Teresa) Hale of Greenwich and Paula Hale of Greenwich and numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Joe Hale; brother, Alan Hale; sister, Rosemary Hale and grandparents, Rome and Rebecca Hale.
Visitation will be held from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main Street, Greenwich where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, with Pastor Delmer Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery.
