Services for Betty F. Sims, 67, formerly of McKinney, were 2 p. m. today at New Salem Baptist Church by the Rev. Matthew Jones. Burial was in New Salem Cemetery. She died Saturday at her home in Bardstown.
Born March 24, 1937, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Jason and Pearl Walls Austin. She was a homemaker and a member of New Salem Baptist Church. She was the widow of Randall Sims.
Survivors include two daughters, Tammy League of Garrard County and Belinda Monin of Bardstown; three brothers, Kenneth Austin of Hustonville, Jason Austin, Jr. of Stanford and Glenn Austin of Somerset; two sisters, Edith Johnson and Shirley Maples, both of Hustonville; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Steffon Pallan, Earl Dean McWhorter, Steve Austin, Kent Ellis, Ronald McWhorter and Aaron Austin. Fox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
