Mr Troy Gaines,65,of 3451 Cokesbury Hwy, Hartwell,died Friday, May 27 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Born on December 7,1945 in Greenville,S.C., he was the son of the late Sallie Gaines. He was a farmer,member of the Hart County Cattleman's Association and of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include his wife,Lois Carter Gaines of the home; A daughter Carol Cleveland and her husband Rev. Tommy Cleveland of Royston; a sister Linda Propes of Hartwell;two grandchildren Ginger Powell and Crystal Cleveland and a great-grand child, Amber Powell also survives/ Funeral services will be Monday,May 30 at 11:00 a.m. at the
River of Life Church with Rev. Ken Buffington and Rev. Tommy Cleveland officating. Entombment will be in the Memorial Garden of Prayer. The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell,where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday night. The family is at the home of Sherry Propes, Cokesbury Hwy, Hartwell.
