GEORGE LEE CLEERE JR. KILLED IN PLANE CRASH
MONTGOMERY, Aug. 6--Cadet George Lee Cleere Jr., son of Alabama's adjutant general, was killed in an air crash while on a crashing flight near Montgomery, N.Y., yesterday.

Young Cleere was a senior at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point scheduled to graduate soon. Details of the accident in which there was one other fatality, were not contained in the War Department notification.

Brig. Gen. and Mrs. Cleere have two other sons in the service; Staff Sgt. S.R. Cleere of Harvard, Neb. and R.N. Cleere, in training at Emory University.
