William David moved his family from Madison County in 1820. He returned to Madison County in 1822, to settle affairs and sell his land. William became ill and died and buried among relatives in Madison County. Most of his family remained on the land in Tallapoosa County, Alabama, where they remained until death, buried in a cemetery named for a grandson, General Pearson Cemetery.
