ARLINGTON – Alvin Thomas Inghram, 81, a retired accountant, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2002, in Arlington.

Funeral: 9:30 Tuesday at Moore Funeral Home Chapel, Arlington. Burial: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Home, Arlington.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 8900 Carpenter Freeway, Dallas, TX 75247.

Alvin served in the U.S. Army infantry during World War II and was a prisoner of war in the Philippines and Japan. He worked as an accountant for Mobil Pipeline and a former resident of Dallas. Alvin had been a resident of Arlington since 1963, where he was a member of First Baptist Church and was involved with the church library for 25 years.

Survivors: Wife of 36 years, Virginia Inghram of Arlington; son, Randy Inghram of Tacoma, Wash.; and sister, Lorraine Beaver of Scottsdale, Ariz.
