Wednesday about 2 o'clock at her home in Salisbury Miss Rebecca Leonard, after a lingering illness of several months, passed from this earthly tabernacle to the mansion prepared for her in her Father's house. Thursday afternoon the remains were brought to Asbury, where a large concourse of the friends who knew her gathered to pay the last tribute to one they loved and honored on account of her noble, unselfish life. Rev. T. H. Swearinge , one of her old pastors, preached the funeral....After the congregation had viewed the remains they were laid to rest in the Asbury cemetery by the side of loved ones gone before. To the mother and sisters and friends who did so much for her in her long sickness, we extend condolence and say: Weep not for she is now among the redeemed.
