BRIDGEWATER, Oct. 14—Kenney Sheets, 68, prominent farmer of the Roman community, died suddenly yesterday morning at about 11 o’clock at the home of W. H. Moyer, near Seawright Springs.

He was born September 14, 1885, in Burketown, the son of the late Jacob and Elizabeth Sheets. A former employee of the E. I. Du Pont Co. Waynesboro. Mr. Sheets retired to devote his full time to farming three years ago. He spent his entire life in Augusta County.

He was A lifelong member of the Summit Church of the Brethren, which he served as deacon.

October 8, 1912, he was united in marriage with Miss Mary Johns, who survives him.

Others survivors are: four daughters; Mrs. H. C. (Kathleen) Coffman, Mt. Sidney: Miss Waltine Sheets, Buena Vista; Mrs. Donald (Janet) Woods, Fishersville; and Miss Ethel Sheets, at home; one son, Paul Sheets, Mt. Sidney: two brothers, J. Odie Sheets, Mt. Sidney; and Walter A. Sheetz, Mt. Crawford; one nephew, whom he raised from childhood, Carl W. Sheets, Mt. Sidney; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister and a brother: Mrs. Christiana Huffer: and Stephen Sheets.

Funeral services will be held from the Summit Church of the Brethren on Friday afternoon. The Rev. William Eicher will conduct the services with assistance by the Rev. John T. Click. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery in Bridgewater.

The body now rests at the Rosenberger Funeral Home in Bridgewater where it will remain until 1 o'clock Friday afternoon, at which time it will then be taken to the church to lie in state until time for the services.

Relatives are asked to meet at the Sheets residence Friday afternoon at 2o’clock for brief service before leaving for the church.
