He was born January 25, 1943, in El Dorado, Kansas, the son of Mary (Hedrick) Roulston Etter and Jack Clifford Wilcoxen, Sr. who both preceded him in death.
Surviving are one son, Darin Roulston and his wife, Bonnie of Highland Village, Texas; three daughters, Robin Smith and her husband, Randy of Wichita, Kansas, Kimberly Schusler also of Wichita and Monika Wilcoxen of Wichita; a sister, Donna McJimsey and her husband, Mike of Shell Knob, Missouri; a brother, David Roulston and his wife, Loetta of Wichita, Kansas; Nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Jack grew up in Kansas and was a graduate of North High School in Wichita. From March 9, 1960 until June 9, 1960, he served in the United States Navy, where he received an honorable medical discharge. Over thirty years he owned and operated Southwind Trucking in Nevada. He referred to himself as the "last of the outlaw truckers" and his CB handle was "Easy Pickens". He was a cowboy at heart and enjoyed Indian artifacts. During his spare time as a teenager he was an avid bowler and bowled in many leagues.
Memorial graveside services with military honors will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 3, 2011, in Sunset Lawn Cemetery, El Dorado, Kansas.
Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob, Missouri.
