Mr. Arthur Mayo Crist, who formerly resided at 7 S. Market St., died Saturday, July 23, at Springfield Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was born in Lovettsville, VA., Oct. 16, 1900, a son of the late Osborn and Ida J. Horner Crist. Prior to his retirement in 1965, Mr. Crist had been employed by the federal government at Fort Detrick. He was a member of the Centennial Memorial United Methodist Church, fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 1067, and the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 371. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Nannie Schlosser, Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., and Mrs. Ethel Fagan, Frederick; a number of nieces and nephews, and two dear friends, Amy and Angie Sos. The family will receive friends at the Smith, Fadeley, Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Monday, July 25, from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 26. The Rev. David. C. Dawson, pastor of the Centennial Memorial United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The Frederick News, July 25, 1977
