One of the greatest Argentine soccer players. His career as player (forward) was the longest in the history of the Argentine soccer (28 years). He played 515 games in First Division, making 292 goals. During his career with the club River Plate, Labruna won 11 titles as a player. He also played in the Argentine Soccer National Team 36 times, making 17 goals. He made his debut as coach in 1966 and won seven Championships.
