Betty Jean Barta
Betty Jean Barta, 59, of Gonzales, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2006. She was born December 22, 1946 in Gonzales to Alton and Stella Baros Barta, of Gonzales and Shiner, respectively. She graduated from Gonzales High School in 1967 and she was a member of the St. James Catholic Church.
Survivors include her parents, Alton and Stella Barta of Gonzales; sister, Sharon Ann Tenberg and husband Garland of Gonzales; niece, Stacy Lynn Tenberg of San Marcos; nephew, Stephen Tenberg and wife Tina of Gonzales and a great-niece, Natalie Tenberg .
Funeral services were held Sunday, September 3, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Pam Kilpatrick officiating . Burial followed at the City cemetery.
Pallbearers were Adolph Barta, Jr., Lorne Dale Barta , Marvin Barta, Max Lee Barta, Rodney G. Barta and George Reese.
Honorary pallbearers were the staff of Cartwheel Lodge of Gonzales.
Memorials May be made to the American Diabetes Association to the charity of one’s choice.
Seydler-Hill Funeral Home of Gonzales was in charge of arrangements......rest faded.
