He was born March 21, 1930, in Stuttgart to Frank and Elizabeth Miller Scroggins.
He spent his business career in farming. He was a member of Almyra United Methodist Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Vern Scroggins and Marvin Scroggins; and twin great-grandsons, Jack Clark and Nate Clark.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 63 years, Ethel Engelkes Scroggins; four children, Roger Scroggins of Stuttgart, Becky Fortune (Dennis) of Stuttgart, Kathy Raabe (Oliver) of Almyra and Harriett Sheeks (Danny) of Stuttgart; six grandchildren, Ekko Greenhill (Brian), Fara Long (David), Tania Clark (Richard), Rory Cline (Chris), Bailey Simpson and Garrett Sheeks; four great-grandchildren, Spencer Greenhill, Will Henry Clark, Charlie Cline and Oliver Cline.
Funeral services were held at Turpin Funeral Home chapel. Burial was private at Lone Tree Cemetery.
