Arthur C. Chamberlain
74, of Springfield, died at 7:30 p.m. Monday, January 1, 1996 in Mercy Medical Center.
He was born March 15, 1921 in Montgomery County, Ohio, the son of Clark and Mary C. (Martin) Chamberlain.
Mr. Chamberlain has been a resident of Springfield since June of 1952. He retired from NCR on April 1, 1982. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army Air Corps.
Mr. Chamberlain was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church, St. Andrew's Lodge No. 619, F. & A.M., Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, Kentucky Colonels, Buckeye Boosters, High Twelve Club, and Sons of the American Revolution.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret (Jenson) Chamberlain, whom he married November 9, 1945; four daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and David Ulery of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, Pam and Dick Tipton of Centerville, Ohio, Susan and Linden Sharp of Piqua, Ohio and Mary and Ed Klenke of Bay Village, Ohio; two sisters, Lena Fischer of Dayton and Mary Batson of Wilmington; eight grandchildren, four nieces and many cousins. He was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Jackson, Lytle & Ingling, Williams Funeral Home, North Limestone Chapel. Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Covenant Presbyterian Church with Rev. Thomas Stout officiating. Body will lie in state one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Donations in Mr. Chamberlain's memory may be made to St. Andrew's Lodge 619 Endowment Fund, Ohio Masonic Home Endowment Fund or to Covenant Presbyterian Church.
