Beadie A. Crayton, 90, died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2000. She was a native of Oakboro, N.C.

She retired from the Hampton City School System in 1975 as a school bus driver, after 19 years of service. She was a member of Peninsula Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Crayton was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles E. Crayton Sr.

Survivors include three daughters, Evelyn C. Walls of Bryson City, N.C., Elizabeth A. Martin of Grafton and Carolyn L. Costa of Hampton; three sons, Charles E. Crayton Jr. of Gloucester, Riley S. Crayton of Hampton and Ronald T. Crayton of Gloucester; 18 grandchildren; 22 great- grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Peninsula Funeral Home. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home by Pastor Rolando Mendoza. Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park.
