Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, May 15, at the First Baptist Church in Hayti for D.A. (Dock) Hedge, who died at his home in that city on May 13 at the age of 73 years. The Rev. M.S. Lloyd and Rev. A.W. Clodfelter conducted the service and burial was in East Woodlawn cemetery with John W. German Funeral Home service.
Mr. Hedge was born March 30, 1889 at Charleston, Mo. and had lived in Hayti for the past 65 years.
He leaves four daughters, Mrs. Ralph Holt, Bragg City, Mrs. Dorothy Baker, Mrs. J.D. Andrews and Miss Bessie Hedge of Hayti; a son Donald E. Hedge of Hayti; a brother, Charley Hedge of Myrtle, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. W.C. King, Caruthersville and Mrs. W.S. Ham, Sundown, Texas; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
