Funeral services for Elmer Flick, age 81, of Loogootee, were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 13, at the Loogootee Christian Church.

Mr. Flick died at 12:45 p.m., Sunday, July 11, 1999, at the Martin County Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, in Loogootee.

He was born on April 21, 1918, in Orange County, Indiana, to the late Monroe and Maudie (McFarland) Flick. He married Juanita Troutman on July 27, 1946, and she survives.

Mr. Flick had retired from employment as a superintendent at NSWC Crane. He was an avid fan of the Loogootee High School basketball team and a member of the Loogootee Lions Boosters Club. He was also a member of the Loogootee Christian Church, where he had served as a deacon, and of the Dairy Queen Coffee Club.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Tony (Judy) Walton, of Loogootee, and Reta Sue Flick, of Bloomington, Indiana; two sons, Wayne Flick, of Jasper, and Jerald E. Flick, of Floyd Knobs; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two sisters, Opal Flick, of Indianapolis, and Lois Abel, of Sheridan, Wyoming; and four brothers, Elvin F. Flick, Calvin Flick, Delbert Flick and Norman Flick, all of Indianapolis.

He was also prededed in death by two sisters and two brothers.
