Ellen Jeanette Doyle, age 75, of Joplin, Mo., passed away on May 22, 2011, at her home, from injuries sustained in the catastrophic tornado.
Ellen was born on November 29, 1935 in Carthage, Mo, the daughter of the late Raymond C. Kennell and the late Mary Virginia Pace.
She has been a resident of Joplin area her entire life.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of College Heights Christian Church. Ellen loved spending time with her family, going out to eat, and shopping. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
She married Keith Doyle on February 19, 1954 at Forest Park Baptist Church in Joplin. He preceded her in death September of 2003.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Brookshire and special friend Mario Morales; Terri Branham and her husband Randy, five grandchildren, Jason Brookshire and his wife Stephanie, Lesa Branham, Stephanie Sargent and husband Jeremy, Jamie Fort and husband Matt; five great-grandchildren, Tamerik Branham, Jasmine Sargent, Lilly Sargent, Kaden Fort and Jarett Fort; three brothers Jerry Kennell, Grandview, Mo., Bud Kennell and wife Dolly, Harbor City, Ca., and Johnnie Kennell, Kansas City, Mo.; two sisters, Carol Davidson and husband Galen, Pittsburg, Ks., and Linda Salmans husband Randy, Topeka, Ks.
She was preceded in death by granddaughter Kelly Jo Brookshire, son-in-law John Brookshire and a sister, Nola Randall.
Burial at Fullerton Cemetery, Carthage.
