Julius "Jay"J. Roberts, age 67, of Marshall passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at his residence. He was born June 10, 1943 in Washington State to John and Jewell (Phillips) Roberts. His first wife was Jerlene Prater which ended in divorce. On April 7, 1977 he then married Janet. L. Billman who survives.
He was a custodian at Wal-Mart Distribution and also worked for McGraw-Edison and Ames.
Jay raised Rottweilers had an AKC Kennel, loved playing pool, football, motorcycles and family time.
Jay is survived by: Wife, Janet Roberts of Marshall; daughter, Twyla (Randy) Newsome of Marshall; sons, Geno (Rebecca) Roberts of Marshall, Ray Roberts of Olivet,and Littlejay Roberts of Marshall; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters, Patsy Williams of Marshall, and Darlene Moya of Florida; and brother, Denis Roberts of Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Clayton; and brothers, Noah, Jimmy, Albert and Charlie Robert.
Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, May 28 from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, May 28 at 1:30P p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Earl Martin officiating. Burial will be at Albion Memory Gardens Cemetery, Albion.
