They were blessed with six children, two sons and four daughters. The eldest, Frederick was drowned when 10 years of age; Susie, the fifth child, died in infanoy. Those of the family that remain are Mrs. Ella Brown, of Rochester; Daniel A. Merry, of Watson; Mrs. Ida Garrett, of Lowville; Mrs. Carrie Hembeld, of Rochester; Mrs. Matie Milheim, of Tonawanda. Mr. Merry's first wife died nine years ago. On October 6, 1897, he married Mrs. Eliza A. Higby, of Watson, who survives him. He is also survived by four brothers, George, of Carthage; Bruce, of Naumburg; John and Adelbert
