A son of Lewis and Ida Hulbert Lomber.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gladys Sixberry Lomber; a daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Edna) Peters, Lowville; a sister, Mrs. Theodore Peak, Lowville and four grandchildren.

Fay E. Lomber, 59, Beach's Hill, Town of New Bremen, died January 31, in Lewis County General Hospital, where he had been a patient one day. He had been seriously ill a week and in failing health since 1961.
Mr. Lomber was born in the Town of New Bremen, September 21, 1904, son of Lewis and Ida Hulbert Lomber.
He had always lived in New Bremen and was a mechanic at Yancy's Garage, Coghan, for years before his retirement 15 years ago. He was married January 16, 1927, in Beaver Falls.
Surviving are his wife, Gladys Sixberry Lomber; a daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Edna) Peters, Lowville, R. D. 3.; a sister, Mrs. Theodore Peake, and four grandchildren.
The funeral was held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Virkler Funeral Home, with Reverend Robert Stover, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Beach's Bridge Cemetery. The Journal and Republican, Lowville, New York, Thursday, February 6, 1964, Page 2A
