The funeral of H. M. Pittman, who died in a San Antonio hospital Friday, was held
Sunday afternoon and interment was made in the Kicaster cemetery near Adkins, Tex.,
about 20 miles north of San Antonio. Mr. Pittman was a Confederate veteran and was
72 years old. He was a native of Mississippi but had lived in Texas for 61 years
and in San Antonio about a year. His home was formerly at McGuel, Tex., where he
engaged in farming. He is survived by two brothers, S. P. Pittman of Adkins and H.
R. Pittman of Duncan, Ariz.; and a sister, Mrs. M. Anderson, of Sabinal. He served
in a Texas regiment in the Civil War.
