Pernie Lawson, 98, of Norma, passed away May 20, 2011, at her home.

Born in Scott County, April 22, 1913, she was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Rebecca York Lawson; husband, Berlin Lawson; and 25 brothers and sisters.

She was a member of Byrges Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons: Eugene Lawson and wife, Gail, of Nashville, and Earl Lawson and wife, Elizabeth, of Cincinnati, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren, special care-givers and niece and nephew, Benton Lawson and wife, Bernadine of Norma, and Mary Lloyd of Robbins; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted May 22, in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Rev. James Pennington officiating. Music was provided by the Lloyd Family. Graveside service was conducted May 23, at Norma Cemetery.
