Lincoln County, Ms. Oct. 10th, 1905 at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. L.S. Strait, Mrs Dr. John Samples aged 81 years 10 months and 2 days.
Mrs. Sample was the mother of Mrs. H.L. Godbold, of McComb and step mother of Dr. J. R. Sample of Summit. She leaves behind five sons and three daughters.
The remains were laid to rest in the family cemetery in Franklin County. She was a member of the Methodist Church holding her memership at Ebenezer Church, Franklin County. Words would fail to express the beautiful christian life she lived. Those who knew her longest were those who loved her best.
