Edith Louise Moody Rhorer, 80, of Sparks Ave., Nicholasville, widow of Crum Rhorer, died Friday, December 6, 2002 after a lenghty illness. She was a retired employee of St. Joseph Hospital and a member of Mt. Freedom Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Samuel (Sam) B. Rhorer, Lexington, William (Billy) Rhorer and his wife, Rita, Jess. Co., and Mark D. Rhorer, Jess. Co.; a daughter, Rosemary Rockefeller and her husband, Duane, of MO; a sister, Lola Shellenberger, Versailles; three grandchildren, Jeffrey D. Rockefeller, William Gregory Rockefeller and Amanda E. Brislin; three great-grandchildren, Benjamin Rockefeller, William Grant Rockefeller and William Caleb Brislin; and a special niece, Karen Jo Carroll. Services will be 1:00pm Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Don Reed and Rev. Craig Ryan. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00pm today. Burial in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Bearers will be Daniel Corman, Ed Fuller, Raymond D. Moody, Robert N. Moody, Bill Brislin and Elmo Spurlock. Honorary bearers will be Lyman Cox, Lynn Settles, Lee Arnold Spurlock, Danny Ray Gay and the Sunday School class at Mt. Freedom Baptist Church. Donations are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass or Mt. Freedom Baptist Church.
