Mrs. Sallie A. Rose, aged 36 years, wife of Thomas A. Rose, died at the family home, corner of Union avenue and Broadway, Tuesday morning at 3:20 o'clok. Her death was due to injuries received from a fall at her home recently. She is survived by her husband; three sons, Dock L. Rose, of Fort Worth, Texas; J.P. Rose and William Rose of Knoxville; and one daughter, Miss Vola May Rose, of Knoxville. Surviving are also eight sisters, Mrs. L.O. Reed, of Jacksonville, Fla.; Mrs. C.L. Johnson and Mrs. Oscar Rose, of New Hopewell; Mrs. Bishop Bollinger of Andersonville; Mrs. Ed Haux, Mrs. Tipton and Miss Trula Rose, of Knoxville; and also three brothers, A.A. Julian, of New Hopewell; J.R. Julian and Roy Julian, of Knoxville. Funeral services will be conducted from New Hopewell church Sunday morning at 11 o'clock, Rev. R.L. Dykes, officiating. Interment will be in the cemetery near the church.
Mrs. Rose was an active member of the D. of A., being a charter member of a local chapter. She was also an active and interested member of New Hopewell church. She had lived a useful life in the community and had many friends who will be grieved to hear of her death.
