-Ernest Hatch for many years a resident of Marshall passed away at Nichols hospital this morning at 1:00 o'clock. He had been in ill health the past three years and was removed to the hospital yesterday where he was to have undergone an operation tomorrow morning. About a year ago he fell and sustained injuries from which he had never recovered. He had been confined to the house about three weeks.
-Mr. Hatch was born in Fredonia, August 1, 1863. He had spent all his life in that township and in this city. He was a graduate of the Marshall high school and since that time he had been an employee of the Calhoun County Abstract Co., and when the business was sold to the Realty Bond & Mortgage Co., he retained his position. He was a member of the S.O.U.V. and the Brooks Memorial M.E. church. Surviving are his wife, a sister, Mrs. Z.H. Enos, one brother, J.M. Hatch and other relatives.
-The funeral announcement will be made Monday.
