Lewiston, Utah Hannah Bernice Hodges Gregory passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at her daughter's home in Ogden, Utah surrounded by her children.
Bernice loved to crochet, quilt, sew, camp, & fish. Mom & Dad spent many years training & racing horses from New Mexico to Winnipeg.
Bernice held many positions in Primary, Relief Society, Sunday School, & Young Woman's as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed doing temple work.
She married Seth T. Gregory in 1932 and they were later sealed in the Logan Temple in 1933. They spent their lives together in Lewiston. They lived on a dairy farm where she was both a house wife and a farmer.
She worked at Amalgamated Sugar, Presto Products & Bear River Farm Service. She also volunteered at Logan Regional Hospital for six years.
Bernice is survived by her children Ted Seth & Rhea (Plain City), Beth Ellis & Don (North Ogden), Bob Abraham & Bonnie (Lewiston), Max Jay & Dixie (Lewiston), & MaryAnn Preece & Carl (Smithfield). She also is survived by 29 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren, & 20 great-great-grandchildren. Her brother, Roland Jay Hodges (Preston, ID), is her survivor.
Bernice is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Seth T. Gregory; her two sons, Henry Kay, & Rex Hodges; one granddaughter & grandson, her parents, two sisters, & four brothers.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 27, 2011 at 11 am located in the Lewiston 1st Ward Chapel (10 South 1600 West). A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 on the day of the service and also on Thursday from 6-8 pm at Nelson Funeral Home's Smithfield Location (85 South Main St.). Interment will take place immediately after the services at the Lewiston Cemetery.
