Mrs. Rose Farkas, 84, of 1925 East 30th St., died Saturday night in St. Joseph Hospital after a brief illness.
A native of Hungary, Mrs. Farkas came to the U.S. in 1903 and had been a resident here ever since. She was a member of St. Ladislaus Church and the Virgin Mary Society.
Survivors are a son, Steve C., and a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Irene) Simon, both of Lorain; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. COrnelia Szollosy, New York City.
Friends will be received in the Emil Dovala Funeral Home from 1 to 9:30 p.m. today.
Services will be there at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow, followed by a Requiem Mass in St. Ladislaus Church at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary.
The Virgin Mary Society will recite the Rosary at 6:30 p.m. tonight in the funeral home.
