Phyllis Elaine (Prose) Pearce, 89, died May 9. 2011 in Pinedale, Wyoming. Phyllis was born February 3, 1922 at Beeler to Filmore and Myrtle Prose. She married Marvin A. Pearce on July 26, 1941 in Scott City at the home of Tom and Essie Ellis.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Marvin, son Dennis George Pearce, one sister and four brothers.
Survivors include her children, Zenda Gaye (Pearce) Houghton, Las Vegas, Nevada, Charles Boyd Pearce of Wamego, Kansas, Rosalyn Faye (Pearce) Craven of Hays, Kansas, Myrtle Michelle (Pearce) Young of Inman, Kansas, LoRee Marcene Pearce of Pinedale, Wyoming, Roger Marvin Pearce of Cherokee, Oklahoma, Brent William Pearce of Haysville, Kansas and Sam Pearce of Pinedale, Wyoming. Phyllis was blessed with 23 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Her brother Max Prose of Beeler also survives her.
Phyllis's life will be celebrated at a graveside service at Beeler Cemetery, Beeler at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011. No memorials, please just spend extra time with yout loved ones. That would make our mom happy.
