Genevieve was born November 28, 1921 in Neodesha, the daughter of Wesley Hoss and Jessie (Lines) Hoss. She attended Neodesha Public Schools and graduated from High School in 1939. She married Charles Anderson of Neodesha and was a loving wife until Charles preceded her in death. Charles & Genevieve were part time residents of Hawthorne, CA for many years.
Genevieve was an extremely active volunteer in Neodesha for the Neodesha Arts Association Flea Market for 36 years. She was dedicated to rescuing any and all stray dogs she came in contact with, a true dog lover. She loved cooking and canning and was totally devoted to her family and friends.
Genevieve is survived by: a cousin, Colleen Cole and family of New Mexico, a nephew, Rod Cook and family of Neodesha, two sister-in-laws: Joanne Hubbard and Dorothy Cook both of Neodesha. Close friends Ruby Reynolds and Hilda Fawcett both of Neodesha as well as her friends from the Neodesha Flea Market. Genevieve is also survived by her six beloved dogs.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 25 at the Neodesha Cemetery with Pastor Harold Story of Neodesha Bible Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to A.W.O.L. (Animals With Our Love) in Independence. Remembrances may be left at the funeral home.
