Illness if Fatal To Mrs. Meriwether

Mrs. Marie Louise Meyer Meriwether, mother of Lexington architect Hugh Meriwether, died at 10 p.m. Sunday at a local nursing home after an illness of several months.

Mrs. Meriwether, a native of Louisville, was the widow of Charles J. Meriwether.

Mrs. Meriwether and her husband were members of the group that founded the Highland Presbyterian Church and the Bardstown Road Presbyterian Church.

She was a member of the Bardstown Road Presbyterian Church and served as church historian.

Survivors besides her son, include a brother John Meyer, Louisville; a sister, Mrs. Viola M. Tucker, New Albany, Ind., and a granddaughter, Miss Lois Meriwether, Lexington.

The body was taken to the W.R. Milward Mortuary, Southland.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary, with the Rev. Paul L. Crane officiating. Burial will be in the Cave Hill Cemetery, Louisville at 3:30 p.m. CST.

Friends my call at the mortuary after 2 p.m. today.
