John Keith Farnsworth, 39, Duchesne, died Wednesday in a Roosevelt hospital of a heart ailment.
Mr. Farnsworth was born Jan. 23, 1931, in Ballard, Uintah Co., a son of David Barclay and Olive Thayne Farnsworth. He married Marjorie Elaine Wright on Dec. 7, 1953, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was an active member of the LDS Church, being an Elder at the time of his death. he served in Sunday School and YMMIA organizations and was financial clerk in the Duchesne Second LDS Ward. He was a sporting goods store owner and active in civic affairs, serving as Duchesne City councilman, Lions Club president and member of the Chamber of Commerce. He was a maker of hand-tied fishing flies.
Survivors include his widow; two sons and two daughters, Farrell L., Gordon Keith, Cindy and Sandra Farnsworth, all of Duchesne; six brothers and sisters, Mrs. Ross (Fern) Harmon, Green River, Utah; Kenneth David Farnsworth and Mrs. Melvin (Helne) Potter, Dutch John, Utah; Mrs. Minnie McDaniel of American Fork; Mrs. Thomas (Bernice) Hawthorne, Layton; Mrs. Esequill (Barbara Jean) Gurele, Trinidad, Colo.
