LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Wilma Houchens, 89, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly in London.
Born June 28, 1921 in London, Ky., she was the daughter of the late John H. and Mabel Young Moren. She was a retired retail clerk, and a member of First Baptist Church of London.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Harry Houchens.
She is survived by three sons, Don Houchens, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Harry Houchens, Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Tom Houchens, London; five grandchildren, and a host of friends and relatives to mourn her passing.
A Celebration of Life service was conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 21, in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Dr. Terry Lester officiating.
Burial followed in A. R. Dyche Memorial Park.
The family of Mrs. Wilma Houchens received friends at 11 a.m. on Saturday until the 1 p.m. funeral hour.
