Pfc. Andrew M. Krippner, 20, Garland, Texas died May 23, in Kunar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked their unit with an improvised explosive device. They were assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Also killed were, Staff Sgt. Kristofferson B. Lorenzo, of Calif., Pfc. William S. Blevins of Ohio and Pfc. Thomas C. Allers of Mich.
