Michael David Whipple
Michael David Whipple, 36, of Twin Falls, was found Saturday, July 3, 1999. He passed away of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident, while camping near Lucky Peak Reservoir.
Michael was born Feb. 27, 1963, in Fussa Machi, Japan. He spent his life in Twin Falls, Lewiston, and Boise, and was known to travel all over the northwest. Michael entered the U.S. Army in 1986, and was discharged as a disabled veteran. He received his Associates Degree in Applied Sciences in May, 1991. Michael worked part time for Red's Trading Post in Twin Falls and was an active member of the Disabled American Veteran's organization.
Michael made friends wherever he went, with his mischievous nature and quick, sometimes caustic humor, which he came by naturally. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed the solitude of nature; camping, fishing, hunting, or caring for horses, cattle, and his special companion, Einstein, his miniature Schnauser.
Michael is survived by his daughters, Kandi Jo of Boise, and Kntoinette "Toni" Diane of Pocatello, Idaho; his parents, Joyce and Gene Kincheloe of Kimberly, Idaho and Joel D. Whipple of Reno, Nev.; twin sister, Lori Strickler of Alaska; sisters Kathy Kincheloe of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Tina Whipple of Reno, Nev.; and brothers, Charles Orville Whipple of Kimberly, Idaho, Brian Whipple of Burley, Idaho, Robert Whipple of Orovada, Nev., Paul Kincheloe of Richmond, Va., Timothy Kincheloe of S. Lumberton, N.C., Charles Whipple of Reno, Nev.; and grandmothers, Dorothy Henson of Gooding, and Wilma Routt of Twin Falls.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers; paternal grand-parents, Charles and Vera Whipple; and by a beloved aunt, Doris Bure.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 8, 1999, at 2 p.m., at the Twin Falls Cemetery under the direction of the Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 7, 1999, from 4 - 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Michael strived constantly to make a better life for himself and his daughters. His family is comforted by the knowledge that he concluded his life in a place where he found comfort, happiness, refuge, and peace.
May God hold Michael in the palm of His hand until we meet again.
