T. F. Pioneer Man, 82, Dies
Albert T. Ward, 82, pioneer resident of Twin Falls, died at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Horton rest home. He had been ill about two weeks. He came to Twin Falls in 1905, cleared sagebrush and farmed for many years.
Mr. Ward was born Feb. 6, 1872, in Willard, Utah. He was a lifelong member of the LDS church, serving 22 yenta in the high council. He was the senior member for 12 years.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Annie Cooper Ward, whom he married in the Idaho Falls LDS temple May 27, 1948. His first wife, Mrs. Maude Shangle Ward, died in November, 1936. Other survivors are a son, Earl Ward, Twin Falls; a daughter, Mrs. J. W. Brown, Twin Falls; a sister, Mrs. Addie Shaw, Ogden; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the third ward LDS chapel with Bishop R. A. Smith presiding. Final services will be held in the Twin Falls cemetery. Friends may call at the White mortuary Tuesday and until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
