The funeral of Charles E. Fink, of
this city, who died Thursday, January
16th, 1919 at St. Joseph's Hospital,
Baltimore, was held Monday 20th, at
10 a. m. at St. John's Catholic Church.
Requiem Maas was in charge of Rev.
Father McGuigan.
Mr. Fink was 85 years old and is
survived by six children, J. Brooke
Fink, North Yakima, Wash.; Mrs. Henry
Brennick, Baltimore; Lieutenant
Charles E. Fink, Jr., Bernard Fink,
Lawrence B. Fink and Miss Agnes F.
Fink. His wife, formerly Miss Elizabeth
Key Boyle, daughter of John
Brooke Boyle, died several years ago.
Mr. Fink was an active associate of
former Governor Edwin Warfield in
forming the Fidelity and Deposit Company
and was counsel for the Belvedere
Hotel Company and a director of the
Union Trust Company. He had been
State's Attorney of Carroll County and
interested in many financial enterprises.
In 1915 he opposed the late Congressman
Talbott, but lost out in the Havre
de Grace convention. At the time of
his death he was Auditor of the Circuit
Court, and was a director in many
of our home institutions.
His funeral
was largely attended by citizens and all
the departments at the Court House,
attornies, Knights of Columbus, and
others of whom he was associated in
business with. Many beautiful flowers
covered the casket from the family and
friends.
