Married: 8 Sep 1883, Monroe, Wisconsin. The Churchills in Monroe were Universalists, as was Joseph Wood. The Church is now linked with the Unitarians, I believe. Charles Boardman Churchill (1855-1905) was also a Theosophist, a follower of Madame Helena Petrovna Blavatsky. When he died in 1905, cremation was still a shocking thing. He chose to be cremated and had to go to Milwaukee to do it. [courtesy of Genhunter]
