Obituary: CAROL JEPPSEN HOPKINS BRIGHAM CITY - Our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Carol Jeppsen Hopkins, 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 in Brigham City, Utah. She was born on October 16, 1921 in Brigham City, Utah, a daughter of Nels Peter and Luella Nelson Jeppsen Jr. Carol married William Bryce Hopkins on September 10, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on March 24, 1989. She was a member of the Brigham City 7th LDS Ward. She served in the Primary, Sunday School, Cub Scouts and was a visiting teacher. During World War II, she worked at DDO in Ogden. Carol loved spending time with her family, cooking, sewing and reading. Surviving are three children, Myron J. (LoraLee) Hopkins, Highland; Norine (Kevin) John Brigham City; Burnett (Anna) Hopkins, Tremonton; 13 grandchildren and 20 grandchildren; two sisters, Winnie Thorsted, Honeyville; Roma Jeppsen, Payson; one brother, Ardell Jeppsen, Spanish Fork. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Lana, two sisters, Wanda Adams, Audrey Bott and two brothers, Lloyd and Wynn Jeppsen. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City. Family will greet friends on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral chapel. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery
