Died 8:51 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 1990, at St. Joseph Hospital, Bryan, Texas. She was 86, a resident of College Station, Texas, two years, a native of Berg and a former resident of Beaumont, Texas. She was a retired public schoolteacher. Mass of Christian Burial was held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16, conducted by the Rev. Cleo Milano. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. Survived by husband, Marcel H. Elissalde, College Station; a daughter, Gertrude Brown, Anchorage, Alaska; a son, Marcel H. Elissalde Jr., College Station; three sisters, Jessie Henchey, Marie Miller and Betty Lindsey, all of Baton Rouge; a brother, Henry Ellender, Houma; and six grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to Capitol Hospice Care or Habitat for Humanity.
