He was born in a log cabin on Dry Creek Dec. 27, 1911, son of William and Stella Dogan. He married Audrey Kennedy May 20, 1939 in Manhattan. He lived his entire life in the Manhattan area and worked as a custodian for the Manhattan Schools for 28 years.
After his retirement, he worked as a painter. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey; a son and daughter-in-law, Leon and Eleanor, Bozeman; son, Cecil Lee, Seattle, WA; daughter, Lorraine VanAusdol, Bozeman; sister, Reba Burke, Bozeman; brother Gene, The Dalles, OR; ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, one sister and a son, Lorne Marvin.
