After celebrating 88 years of life, Stacy Cleveland Talley was called home May 20, 2011, to meet his Lord and other loved ones who have gone on before him. He lived with his large family in several southeastern Oklahoma farming communities around Soper, Snow, and Mudsand, "the old home place." He attended high school in Antlers before joining the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in 1939 at the age of 17. After spending six months in Basalt, Colo., building ranger stations, he moved back to Oklahoma to farm. He was then drafted into the United States Navy during World War II and served two years (1944-46) on the carrier USS Puget Sound in the Pacific as a Seaman First Class.

After the war, Stacy married Lena Lucille Deskin of Norman on April 17, 1946. They had two daughters. After working as a painter and living in Norman and Noble, the Talley's moved to Ponca City in 1953 where he was hired as a welder and one of the first ten employees of the new Continental Carbon. Lena was employed by the Conoco Gas Measurement Department. She passed away in 1971 just before the celebration of their 25th wedding anniversary.

On July 3, 1972, Stacy and Lavon Lovingier Fyffe married in Arkansas City, Kan. Stacy retired in 1981 and Lavon retired from the Ponca City School system in 1983. They moved to Enid in 1995.
