After the war, Stacy married Lena Lucille Deskin of Norman on April 17, 1946. They had two daughters. After working as a painter and living in Norman and Noble, the Talley's moved to Ponca City in 1953 where he was hired as a welder and one of the first ten employees of the new Continental Carbon. Lena was employed by the Conoco Gas Measurement Department. She passed away in 1971 just before the celebration of their 25th wedding anniversary.
On July 3, 1972, Stacy and Lavon Lovingier Fyffe married in Arkansas City, Kan. Stacy retired in 1981 and Lavon retired from the Ponca City School system in 1983. They moved to Enid in 1995. Lavon has been a 39-year loving, caring and supportive partner and they were fortunate to enjoy their retirement years among many old and new friends and a growing family.
Stacy was one of six children of Pleasant Oscar Talley and Mary Belle Clayton. *
Stacy's life is honored and celebrated by his many friends and family.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, in Ponca City I.O.O.F Cemetery. Viewing is in Enid at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home, 601 W. Broadway, daily from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love of Enid.
