James R. Miller Jr., 20, died Feb. 28 in Operation Desert Storm. The Decatur native had served in Saudi Arabia since December. Surviving are his wife, Susan of Decatur; two sons; his parents, Florence and James R. Miller Sr. of Decatur; three brothers; and grandmothers, Mary Jan Miller of Decatur and Vesta Kolakowski of Eureka, Calif. Services are 9:20 a.m. Wednesday in Zwick-Sefton & Jahn Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church, with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Calling is 7 to 9 p.m. today, and noon to 9 p.m. tomorrow in the funeral home, with a wake at 8:30 p.m. tomorrow. Preferred memorials are gifts to the Miller children's educational fund.
