Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, September 1, at the Oylen Christian and Alliance church for Sherman Hunter, 77, who passed away Wednesday, August 29, at a rest home near Walker. The Reverend Howard Batdorf officiated at the services. Interment was in Montrose cemetery in Thomastown.
Sherman Hunter was born on October 15, 1884. He had resided on a farm in Bullard Township for about twenty years.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Harold Becker (Beverly) of Minneapolis; two sons, Norman and Quintus, both of Minneapolis; and one brother, William of Battle Lake.
Pallbearers for the final rites were Peter Dahlvang, Alonzo Woodbridge, Alfred Nelson, Oscar Nelson, Harold Broker and Tom Sullivan.
